Fluvanna Youth Baseball holds monthly board meetings in-order to discuss and decide on operational components of the league. Active members in good standing with FYB are welcome to attend board meetings. Fluvanna Youth Baseball is looking to grow our team! The Fluvanna Youth Baseball League is supported by a team of volunteers – most of us parents of current and former players. We are looking to grow the team and need help with a variety of Board positions.

Open Board Positions

· Communication Manager: Maintains a register of members and directors; records the minutes of meetings; is responsible for sending out notice of meetings; acts as point-person for emails coming to the Fluvanna Youth Baseball email address; and maintains a record of the league's activities.

· Uniform  Manager:   Coordinate purchase for team team uniforms.  

· Equipment Manager:  Is responsible for placing equipment orders as needed and in a timely manner.  Maintains an inventory of all equipment.  Keeps equipment in good, usable condition.  Ensures that safety equipment is maintained and in good condition.  Disposes of any unsafe equipment.  Makes arrangements for the All Star teams to have the proper equipment.  Provides safety advice and/or instruction to coaches and League officials.· Uniform Manager

· Commissioners (T-Ball, Rookie, Minor, Majors): Responsible for the players, team rosters and all star team books.  Conducts annual League registration and try-outs for respective age group.  Presides at player selection meetings.  Addresses issues that arise with coaches, parents, umpires and players.  Keeps up-to-date records of team rosters.  Checks player’s eligibility.  Compiles and submits the official rosters to the Secretary.  Schedule makeup games due to inclement weather.  Prepares records for the All Star team and ensure that all members of the All Star team are qualified to be on the team and the record books for the All Star team are in proper order (Except T-ball commissioners).

· Webmaster: Responsible for keeping website up-to-date

· Members-at Large: Responsible for supporting the Board throughout the year as needed. This may include helping plan Opening Day, helping support the Concession Stand, supporting evaluations and all-star hosting activities, etc
